A Clear Brand Starts Here

  • Build a Business You Can Actually Explain.

This is our practical, step-by-step workbook is designed to help you clarify your business idea, define your audience, and build a strategic foundation—a step most people skip.

  • Does this sound like you?

✓ You have a business idea (or existing business) but struggle to clearly explain what you do and why it matters.

✓ You’re ready to build or refine your brand, but you’re not fully confident in the direction yet.

✓ You want strategy and clarity before investing in design, marketing, or a new website.

✓ Your current messaging isn’t connecting, converting, or reflecting the heart of your work.

✓ You want a brand you can confidently stand behind—one that reflects your values and speaks to the right people.

  • Most people jump straight into logos, websites, and marketing before they’ve clarified their brand.

That’s where things start to feel scattered.

This workbook walks you through the same strategic exercises I use with consulting clients to help uncover your purpose, define your message, and identify the audience you’re meant to serve.

Instead of guessing or following generic templates, you’ll build a brand strategy that’s rooted in who you are, what makes you different, and why your work matters.

  • This 30+ page guided workbook walks you step-by-step through the core foundations of a strong brand. Each section is designed to help you uncover what makes your business unique and turn those insights into messaging you can actually use in your website, marketing, and future designs.

    Inside you’ll explore:

✓ Logo vs. Brand — understanding the difference

✓ Defining your target audience & ideal customer

    ✓ Crafting your business persona

    ✓ Competitor analysis & positioning

    ✓ Unlocking your brand personality

✓ The power of brand words

    ✓ What makes you different

    ✓ Discovering your core values

    ✓ Finding your deeper “why”

✓ Creating a clear, meaningful tagline

    …and more.

  • By the time you finish the workbook, you’ll have:

✓ Clear brand direction! No more guessing about your messaging or positioning

✓ A defined audience so you know exactly who you’re speaking to

✓ Language for your website and marketing that actually reflects your work

✓ A stronger foundation for future design and marketing decisions

Plus, you’ll be working through the same strategic exercises I use in consulting sessions that typically cost over $500. Now available in one guided workbook you can revisit anytime your business evolves.

  • Think of this $149 as an investment in your future business. Clear messaging, a defined audience, and a strong brand foundation will pay for themselves many times over.

Plus, it’s a business expense, and it’s yours for life!

You can revisit the workbook anytime your business evolves, helping you refine your messaging and strengthen your brand as you grow.

  • After working with hundreds of small businesses and startups, I started noticing the same pattern. People were investing in logos, websites, and marketing before they had real clarity about their brand.

And when the foundation isn’t clear, everything else becomes harder than it should be.

    • Messaging feels vague

    • Your audience isn’t clearly defined

    • Website copy is difficult to write (or worse, it's written by ChatGPT)

    • Design decisions feel overwhelming

    • Marketing feels scattered

So I began guiding my clients through a series of exercises to uncover the deeper pieces of their brand: their purpose, voice, audience, and positioning.

Over time, those exercises became the framework of this workbook and pretty much a requirement before I design any website.

This workbook brings those same exercises from those early days all together in one place, so you can work through them at your own pace and build a brand that feels clear, confident, and genuinely yours.

I can now say my elevator pitch with confidence!

There were definitely some ah-ha moments after completing the exercises. I remember thinking, “Of course, this so obvious,” but before the workbook it was a challenge to write it all down. • It depends on how much time you want to invest. There are no rules here!

Some clients take a deep-dive approach, working through each exercise slowly and methodically, over weeks or even months. Others power through the workbook in a weekend or even on a lunch break. I’ve heard some like to use the quietness of a flight as the perfect time to dive into the workbook. There’s no right or wrong way. Move at your own pace, do what feels right for you. You can always revisit any sections as your brand evolves.

  • Not at all! You don’t need any prior business or branding experience to get value from this workbook.

Having an idea or business concept in mind before starting the workbook is helpful. The workbook wasn’t designed to help create a business idea from scratch, but instead it’s here to help you dig deeper, refine your vision, and unlock your brand’s full potential.

It’s not uncommon for new branches of your business to emerge as you’re completing the workbook — so long as you have a general idea and concept from the start.

  • Yes, 100%

Desktop: Once you’ve opened your confirmation email and clicked the Download button, the PDF should open in a new browser window. Right-click on the PDF, or click the download arrow/button (varies depending on your browser and browser settings). Open the PDF in a PDF Compatible Reader/Application. Many of the exercises are editable, which means you can type right into the document (make sure you frequently save your changes so you don’t loose everything you’ve already completed).

Mobile/Tablet: Follow the same download steps as above, however where the PDF opens or downloads varies depending on your device and settings. Once you’ve located the PDF you can easily open and view it on your device. However, due to the various operating systems out there, the flexibility and usability isn’t as great as it might be on desktop. But don’t let that stop you! You can always view the PDF on your phone and take notes in a notebook. **see the question below ;)

  • Yes, absolutely! Please do. We love this method most — especially when printed double-sided to save a few trees;)

Studies actually show that writing out thoughts, ideas, and brainstorms long hand is significantly more powerful than typing things out. When you physically write things down, your focus and comprehension extends to the task at hand, and it’s more likely to trigger a waterfall of ideas to follow because the act of writing is a sub-conscious one. Sure it's a bit slower than typing, but slower isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Writing allows you to engage with the whole process, potentially creating better and more well-thought out ideas. Write it out long hang, let that creative side run free!

❝ The length of each exercise was totally digestible. I printed out the workbook so I could hand write my responses. I prefer that much more than digital… ❞
