DRAW & CREATE SOMETHING

Seriously! Draw the flyer on paper. A crayon is better than any AI-slop. Doodle it. Paint it. Type it. Carve it. Collage it. Ask your kid, niece, nephew, neighbor, anyone other than AI to draw you a flyer, ad, or graphic.
Take a photo and post it - easy as that.
Even if your handwriting is god-awful or your drawing skills are horrendous, it still has 1000x more personality and authenticity than anything AI-generated.

USE MS PAINT OR ANY DRAWING/DOODLNG APP

The original MS Paint had soul and was a creative outlet of an entire generation - weird, homemade, memorable drawings that I honestly miss.
At this point, I would trust an iPad doogle more than any overly-cluttered AI-generated poster with fake neon lighting and six-fingered people.

USE REAL PHOTOS

Why are you posting AI-generated glittery chicken and weird abstract blobs of nothingness instead of using actual photos of your actual business, your food, your products, your actual store interior?! Your customers want to see the real things, people, and experiences they’re going to get, not a fake bagel ad.
If you can’t afford to hire a photographer just yet, we all have high-quality cameras in our back pockets, use it. Take your own goddam photos. Even if they’re not the best, it’s still better than fake photos.
- Reminder: Free stock photo websites and Public Domain Image Archive still exist - use them. A decent stock photo is still infinitely better than a weird uncanny valley image that makes your business look untrustworthy.
When your budget grows, hire a professional photographer and pay them accordingly. Good photography will always outperform fake AI visuals because customers will see what they’re actually buying into. And a stellar photographer will make you and your business look sooo good! I promise you.

CANVA, SNAPPA, PIXIR ARE FINE

As a designer, it’s painful seeing the same Canva templates recycled over and over and over again.
But the basic (FREE) template-based design software is still more effective than most AI-generated flyers because at least they’re intentional, readable, and were create by you - a real human.
